  • The most colourful festival in the world that originates from the Indian tradition of Holi Festival of Love (ancient Hindu tradition)
  • The festival is a mix between music, street theater, cultural and sport workshops
  • In 2014 Festival of Colours took place in Bulgaria for the first time with 3 editions – in Sofia, Burgas and Plovdiv, the editions in 2015 and 2016 followed with even more crazy fans and followers
  • More than 100 colourful explosions
  • 10 foreign and more than 40 Bulgarian artists took part in the event so far (djs, musicians, dancers from India, painters, acrobats, circus, fire artist)
  • A number of pre-activities for promotion of the festival took place: exhibition on the main walking street in Plovdiv, colourful explosions in the cities, flash-mobs, colouring the grey city environment, etc.
  • Approximately 20 000 people visited the event so far
  • 5 TV channels, 11 radios, 17 print editions and 42 on-line media reported the event, 130 + publications on topics of the event in the different media
