City Center Doha books Living Dragons after Living Dinosaurs success

Our multi-year partnership with City Center Doha is a blueprint for modern retail edutainment: when an attraction exceeds footfall expectations, the momentum can be sustained year after year.

The journey began with our Living Dinosaurs exhibition across the mall’s corridors and plazas. With museum-grade, life-sized animatronics placed directly in the mall’s footprint — free of any ticketing barriers — we generated an extraordinary surge in public engagement and longer family dwell times.

From prehistoric safari to mythical kingdom

The public reception was electric, filling regional social media and lifting organic traffic for the mall’s retail and dining tenants. Thrilled with the turnout and the flawless operational execution, mall management rebooked Coco Agency for the following year — this time for our Living Dragons exhibition, presented as “City of Dragons”.

The City of Dragons takeover

Living Dragons took over City Center Doha until 15 December 2023. Rather than repeat the past, our production team used its knowledge of the mall’s multi-level architecture to design a completely new fantasy realm:

Advanced animatronics. Twelve life-sized mythical dragons with realistic skin textures, fluid movements, booming soundscapes and integrated smoke effects that echoed through the main atriums.

Vertical visual triggers. The scale and position of each creature were tailored to the mall’s five floors. Visitors on the upper levels looked straight into the wings of soaring dragons, encouraging them to explore every floor.

Immersive scenery and interaction. Enchanted talking trees welcomed guests, and interactive zones let children sit on and ride selected dragons — turning a shopping trip into a family memory.
